So, i have lots of times been thinking about a system in a horror game, that is based on random strings, numbers and triggers. If say, every second there was a 0.01% chance that something would pop on screen. It would be a cheap scare, but...
And in the same way, you could (it would be a boring process but whatever) put in triggers by every door, and every windows etc. so that eatch time you walk over one of them, there would be a certain chance that a pre-animated monster initiation would be activated. Thus, it would be impossible to see anything coming at any playthrough.

All cheap scares and probably wouldn't work, but I was just wondering if any of you guys know of a game with a similiar system? The panic system in Eternal Darkness does not count.
