So, what is your style?
I have to say, I never touched a melee weapon throughout the whole game. I picked them all up, but I never used anything but fists, except on boss battles and a couple of area's towards the end of the game, but then I used firearms.
What about you guys? |

I hardly even killed enemies, as I could simply avoid them most of the time by keeping my light off. But in some cases, like in the streets, id prefer guns. I'd make sure I switched to fists before finishing a monster off when he was down in order to conserve ammo. As your foot is just as deadly as a gunshot to the head, apparently.
Those big weapons like the tv and alcohol bottles were usefull. I mostly used them as ranged weapons to get rid of the roadkills fast.
I dont think the breakable weapons was necesary though. It was to create a sense of urgency I think, knowing your weapons wont give you complete defense against the monsters. But it was annoying most of the time. I'd rather see me finding one of each weapon and sticking with it throughout the game. This way you wont get any of the "durr hurr im carying 2 wrenches, 5 tv's and 3 sledges" weirdness.
I call that the RPG-pocket syndrome. |

"is that a typewriter in your pocket or are you just pleased to see me?"
I may have to give some of the melee weapons a chance, next time. At the moment though, I'm having way too much fun with the Tesla rifle. |
